Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist

Ledgent Accounting & Finance | Tampa, FL

Ledgent Accounting & Finance is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to support daily accounting operations for a growing organization in the Tampa area. This role is responsible for managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, maintaining vendor relationships, performing account reconciliations, and supporting month-end close and full-cycle accounting processes.

$23-$27-hour

Responsibilities

  • Process and reconcile high-volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions.
  • Review, code, and enter invoices while ensuring timely vendor payments.
  • Generate customer invoices, apply cash receipts, and assist with collections activities.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account discrepancies.
  • Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting support.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of accounting experience with a strong background in AP and AR.
  • Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
